Internet Marketing History (Part 1)

I’m going to give a brief summary of my history and when I’m caught up to the present, I will then give it to you blow by blow.

I’ve had the desire to market via the internet for several years now. Having a technical background, I understood the techie stuff, but not the marketing. For a techie, unless you are exceptional, marketing is a foreign language. I really hate to self promote – sounds kind of odd doesn’t it. I have the desire to sell something, but I don’t want to say anything to anybody about it.

One of my first forays into the online world was on eBay – a very natural place to start since the barriers to entry are low. I could just find some junk around the house and sell it, right?!? Right. And that’s what I did for a while – actually, I was selling a lot of my wife’s clothes that were out of style and that she was no longer wearing. Free Inventory for me.
